I Gesuiti,
Santa Maria Assunta designed by Domenico Rossi was consecrated in 1728. It holds
The Martyrdom of Saint Lawrence masterpiece of Titian (1588). The church is covered by inlaid patterns in gray-blue marble, which raises my suspicion, that the Jesuits have learned some secretes from the creators of Moorish/Muslim architecture. I think these decorations are meant to produce some deliberate effect. Or, maybe, a beauty of late baroque has donned an Alhambra veil.
